Councils and Committees Update

Plus: Shirts, elections, and other news

Davis Square Neighborhood Council Elections

The Davis Square Neighborhood Council is holding its first formal elections on August 24 and 25 at the Somerville Public Library. This is a major milestone in the formation of the Neighborhood Council, which will help guide development in and around the square. If you live, work, or volunteer nearby, you’re eligible to vote — and they need your input. Neighborhood Councils are a key way for the city to organize community engagement in specific areas, and your participation can make a huge difference here. Friends of Somerville YIMBY Elaine Almquist, Chris Beland, PJ Kim-Santos, and Joel Paul are all running for the board, and they would appreciate your vote.
